We all know every pair of pants seems to fit differently, and the same goes with belt sizes.
This is why we don't like to measure our belts according to pants size, as it is usually much smaller than your actual waist measurement.
How To Find Your Correct Belt Size
1. Put a tape measure around your waist and pull it snug.
This is the most accurate way.
2. Measure a belt you are currently wearing from the current hole you are using to the end of the buckle.
3. Grab a pair of pants you are wearing and add 2-4" onto that.
Your actual waist measurement is usually one size larger than the pants size:
For example: 38" (97cm) pants size = usually 40" (102cm) actual waist/belt size
About The Leather
About The Leather
Our goods are made out of 100% authentic full grain, top grain and suede leather. It is a natural and durable material that has been used for thousands of years due to its strength and longevity. We DO NOT USE any 'pleather', 'Vegan Leather', Reconstituted Leather, 'Leather Filler' or low-grade Leather.
Most 'Vegan' Leathers are plastic, which means they wear quicker and end up eventually in landfill. In the 'Throw-Away' society we live in today, we would rather not contribute to the growing problem of fast-fashion and over-consumption.
The leather industry is usually misinterpreted as an 'out-dated' and 'barbaric' material, but in fact is generally a bi-product from the meat industry. We truly believe in reducing waste in the world, and ensuring the entirety of the animal is used.
Each hide we use is carefully inspected, and we’ve been sourcing the same leather from the same tanneries for a very long time. We trust these leathers and the process that goes into them to ensure they’re fit for many years of use.
Our Kangaroo is sourced from Packer Leather Tannery in Brisbane, QLD.
Our Cowhide is mainly sourced from highly renowned tanners from all over world. Whether it be Italy, England, Japan, Germany or South America. We occasionally use Australian Cowhide but have had trouble sourcing what we need.
We have been using most of these leathers for over 30 years so we know that they stand the test of time.
We test each type before we use it with a water, heat and strength test, to make sure it's fit for manufacturing. We don't see the point in putting all our time into making something when the materials are of poor quality.
We don't believe in 'offcuts' and will try to use every single bit down to the size of a 5c piece.
The types of hides we use are mainly Kangaroo & Cowhide leather, with the occasional Crocodile/Ostrich skin.
It's essential to remember that quality leather is an organic material, and it is susceptible to absorbing grease, dirt and oils. It's also common for leather to have scratches and spots over time from normal use, and we believe this is evidence of your leather having an adventurous journey. Each hide will develop a natural patina according to your environment and helps make it truly one of a kind.
Where are your products manufactured?
We are proud to say that we manufacture all of our products in Australia. We have two workshop locations, either at our shop in Eumundi, QLD or at our home workshop in Yandina, QLD (just 20min down the road).
Any other brands we stock in the shop (Jacaru Hats, Badgery Belts, etc.) are also made in Australia, but not necessarily within QLD.
We are a small family business of 3 with the occasional casual worker helping us out, and we truly love the craft that we do :)
Do you use genuine leather and what kind of leather do you use?
We use 100% Full Grain Solid Leather in all of our products. There is absolutely NO reconstituted, 'pleather', Vegan Leather or composite leather in our business.

What does a Lifetime Warranty mean?
According to the Office of Fair Trading Australia, a 'Lifetime Warranty' is considered to be 10 Years in terms of Leather products. This is the reasonable amount of time a Leather product should last if treated properly.
Our 10 Year Warranty is on the Workmanship of the product, so if you have any problems whatsoever please contact us and we can assist you.
Do you do refunds?
If you wish to return an item because you have changed your mind unfortunately we cannot fully refund the purchase.
We are able to offer an exchange for another item, but we are not responsible for return postage.
We are able to accept product returns for a refund if:
- The product is faulty or is not of acceptable quality
- The product is not fit for its intended purpose
- The product does not match the sample description to a certain degree
We reserve the right not to offer an exchange voucher, refund or repair where the item fault is a result of serious misuse or neglect.
Once I've ordered, how long before I can expect my order to arrive?
We try our hardest to get through each order ASAP, but it can take up to 18 Business Days to complete orders due to the below reasons. We ask if you can please be patient in some instances as we can get a little overwhelmed.
As we are such a small business, sometimes we can get a little behind in production. We're keeping up with stock for the shop, as well as customer-made orders and orders from the website. We also run the retail shop ourselves, as well as Social Media and website maintenance. Sometimes our materials have run out and we are waiting on them to arrive. Sometimes one of us is sick and the others have to take over their job roles for a few days.
Do you do custom-made Orders?
We do take-on Custom Made Orders but only if it's within our expertise. Please contact us if you are interested in placing an order.
We also advise the wait time on Custom-Made is a MINIMUM of 6 weeks.
Do you do repairs?
Yes, we can do some repairs. We can do zipper replacement in Leather Jackets, Belt Repairs and some Basic Repairs. Unfortunately as we are quite time-poor we do turn away a lot of requests. We do however, have recommendations of other Local Leather Repair Shops we can send you to.
My product doesn't look 100% like the one in the photo. What do I do?
Leather is a natural product, so variations may occur in the finished article. This is because leather quality can vary within a skin and between skins.
We also sometimes can not obtain the exact same fittings/zips as the one we've photographed as the supplier does not have them anymore. The ones we use will still be just as durable, but may be a different style in some instances.
Each item is individually handmade so every one is unique, unlike mass-produced articles which are uniformly consistent.
Can I physically come and look at your products?
Of course! Come and visit our shop in Eumundi, we're open 7 Days a week.

Do you do wholesale orders or make for any other companies?
NO, unfortunately we do not do wholesale orders. Our prices are already close to maker's price and we wouldn't be able to provide them any cheaper for other companies to be able to make money on.
What happens if I order the wrong belt size?
Please make sure you do not order your belt going off your pants size, and rather measure your actual waist with a tape measure. Alternatively, measure a current belt you a using from the end of the buckle to the hole that you're using.
95% of the time your waist measurement is at least 2 inches larger than your pants size.
We can exchange belts, but in these instances you will have to pay for return postage.

To ensure your leather lasts longer, it’s important to apply proper maintenance to your favourites pieces regularly to preserve the character and extend its natural life.
It's essential to remember that quality leather is an organic material, and it is susceptible to absorbing grease, dirt and oils. It's common for leather to have scratches and spots over time from normal use, and we believe this is evidence of your leather having an adventurous journey. Each hide will develop a natural patina according to your environment and helps make it truly one of a kind.
+ We recommend cleaning, conditioning and protecting your leathergoods every 6 months (at a minimum).
+ If you live in a dryer (hot or cold) climate, treat the leather as soon as it feels less supple, dull or faded. When well conditioned, the finish should feel slightly oiled and look rich in colour.
+ Avoid products that contain alcohol, turpentine, paraffin or other mineral spirits.
+ To avoid mould and extreme dryness, store items properly when not in use. Keep out of direct sunlight and in low humidity areas. Try and keep in an area that gets a bit of air flow, or store with moisture-absorbers to ensure any mould can’t spread.
+ If your leather gets severely wet, absorb as much water as possible with a thick hand towel and then air dry in the shade. Re-condition with waterproofer afterwards.
6 MONTH GENERAL MAINTENANCE
We recommend this method twice a year to clean and enhance the finish of your leather products.
1. Wipe any dry dust or debris off the surface with a soft brush or cloth.
2. Dampen a soft cotton cloth with warm water
3. Carefully clean the surface in a circular motion
4. If heavily soiled, apply a natural Saddle Soap or Leather Cleaner to a cloth and repeat steps 1 and 2.
5. Allow to dry away from direct sunlight and heat.
6. Before completely dry, apply a Leather Conditioner Wax/Cream all over the leather.
7. If needed (if it appears to be absorbing very quickly), apply a second or third coat within 30 minutes.
8. Let dry and buff off any excess with a dry soft cloth.
Most of our leathers are quite Water Resistant, although to ensure extra protection make sure to apply either a Waterproofer Spray or Wax/Cream.
For light coloured leathers, suede, nubuck and unfinished leathers we highly recommend a type of spray.
For all other leathers we recommend a wax/cream conditioner or oil.
Instructions for Wax/Cream Conditioner:
1. Clean the leather thoroughly.
2. Apply a small amount of the wax to a damp cloth and rub all over the leather sparingly.
3. Repeat as necessary.
4. Leave to dry naturally in shade for 30-60 minutes.
5. Buff wax off with a dry cloth.
Instructions for Spray
1. Softly Brush any debris or dust off the surface of your leather.
2. Shake can accordingly to instructions and spray approximately 20cm away to cover entire surface.
3. Let dry natural in shade away from sunlight and direct heat. Repeat again if necessary.
DRIED-OUT OR CRACKED LEATHER
If you live in Queensland like us, a-lot of leather tends to either Dry Out or grow mould.
When unused, leather tends to dry out as it's not being handled with natural oils from your hands or being conditioned regularly.
To breathe new life into your dry leather, try first with a Leather Conditioner Cream/Wax. If this does not work we recommend applying an oil to penetrate the leather much further.
Make sure to handle the item with care as a-lot of older leathers may be brittle or rotten from it's age.
Follow the general instructions above until no more oil or leather dressing can be absorbed. Buff with a dry cloth to remove excess.
Any type of natural based oil will also do, whether it be vegetable oil, mink oil, coconut oil, neatsfoot oil etc. This will be up-to you and what you like the smell of :)
Mould is formed from bacteria forming in a stagnant moist environment. The best thing to avoid mould is to continue using your leather-goods every few days or store in an airtight container/bag.
1. Wipe the mould off with a cloth.
2. If it's a deeper penetrated mould, follow the cleaning instructions above or use an equal parts white vinegar/water mixed with a couple of drops of Clove Oil to remove the mould spores.
3. Re-condition the leather per instructions above to try and remove any mouldy odours.
4. If storing away again, place item in an airtight container/bag or an open area that is well ventilated, has movement and a bit of air flow (such as the back of a door).
